God’s Day

God’s Day has become a wonderful yearly event that covers the complete mission of the church.  As a church, we celebrate with one another our identity in Christ.  We pass out flyers, door knock, and promote to the entire community to join us as we celebrate.  Lastly, we share the good news of Christ with all people who come.  This has truly become one of the most wonderful days of the year for the church!!

St. Jude and Ronald McDonald House

In 2018, Eastview started working with the Ronald McDonald House and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  As a church, we have dedicated ourselves to pray for these organizations along with sending members to help serve meals and minister to patients who are receiving treatment and their families. Eastview has also committed to serving these wonderful organizations financially to ensure the most help is done for the people who are in need.

Church Planters Chris and Sara Ortiz

Eastview has partnered with NY church planters Chris and Sara Ortiz.  The Ortiz family moved to NY in 2018 after living in Jackson many years.  A relationship was established as Chris and his family visited and spoke at Eastview in late 2017 about their desire to plant a church in New York in the Queens area.  The church became prayer partners at that time and have now become financial supporters.  16 of our church members visited Chris and his family in 2018, and we were so proud and encouraged by what God is doing in this couples ministry.  We since have joined with them each year for NYC Mission Trips. Each year we send 40+ members to serve in NYC, and help Chris and Sarah spread the Gospel to the nations on the streets of Brooklyn.

Mission of Hope Haiti

In 2018, Eastview began working with the Mission of Hope Haiti ministry that focuses their attention on serving the people of Haiti and sharing the Gospel throughout the villages of the local communities.  Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world and has experienced great devastation in the last decade.  The people of Haiti have seen their homes destroyed by natural disaster and their people die from overwhelming poverty and starvation.  God calls His people to exactly these places and this is where Eastview has centered its attention.  Please pray with us for the people of Haiti and for the hearts of the people we share the good news with while we walk with them.

In 2019, Eastview served the Mission of Hope organization in their Dominican site. Eastview was the first team to serve in the Dominican through the Mission of Hope. This was a privileged and an amazing opportunity! Our church partnered with a local pastor in spreading the Gospel to the local villages and inviting others to their church. Eastview has served in both Haiti and the Dominican with Mission of Hope and look forward to many more years walking along this Gospel centered ministry.
