BLUEPRINTS

TITUS 3

PASTOR’S NOTES

But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless.”

This is our last week in our Blueprints study which covered 1&2 Timothy as well as the book of Titus.  I want to thank everyone for not only being present throughout the sermon series, but also being dedicated to the weekly devotion.  Whenever we going through a series like we just did, it’s always important to take a step back and look at the full picture of the study.  Below is the “Blueprint” scripture gives us in God’s word for His church.

The Blueprints for God’s Church

Take hold of the message (Nothing is more important than the Gospel) (1 Timothy 1 & Titus 1)

Prayer is the best we have to offer (1 Timothy 2)

Raise up Godly men (1 Timothy 2 & Titus 2)

Qualified leaders in the church are essential (1 Timothy 3 & Titus 1)

Love and take care of the people God has given you (1 Timothy 5)

Choose peace and unity over conflict with other believers (Titus 3)

This week as we close our time in Titus and this study, God’s word calls us to peace and unity.  Now that we have a foundation on Christ and leaders in place, it’s time to choose peace among others. Unity and harmony with others is a daily choice that we have to make.  A choice that’s hard depending on certain people or circumstances, but still a choice that’s worth making for the good of the church.

I believe the call to unity and peace among the family of God is such an amazing way to finish this study!  To see and know the big picture of God’s construction is important, not only because we are called to take care of the church, but also because His blueprint for the church is very much the same plan for the family and many aspects of our life.  Hold on to the Gospel, take care of His people, and choose peace daily!

As we close this study, I truly pray that you see the simplicity of God’s design that is not only for our good, but for God’s glory!

I love you church, stay faithful!
