PASTOR’S NOTES
So Bezalel, Oholiab and every skilled person to whom the Lord has given skill and ability to know how to carry out all the work of constructing the sanctuary are to do the work just as the Lord has commanded.”
For all those who are willing, God will make able. This is a truth that we see all throughout the Bible. For those who are faithful and obedient, God always provides a way. In this week’s text, there is work to do. All of the measurements and directions that we have read through in earlier text are past the design approval stages and ready to be made. This is exciting news, but who is cut out to do such an important job out of the wondering and tired? Who is able or worthy for such a job in building God’s tabernacle?
The next 4 chapters are a beautiful reminder of how God does mighty things with the lowly and ill prepared. We see this with so many in the Bible from Abraham to Paul, God will make able those who are not. Faith and willingness are all that God requires.
Abraham wasn’t ready to be the father of all nations, nor Moses the mediator of God’s people, and let’s not forget Mary the mother of a Savior! God uses those who no one would ever think to use to do unimaginable things!
