ACTS 9:32-42
"Peter said to him, Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed......."
What's greater than a miracle? Very few things are. Healing, restoration, revival, new life, very few things are greater than experiencing God's miracles. Just reading this week's text fills my soul with hope and confidence in what's possible through Christ who saved me!
Can you imagine witnessing such a healing or being brought back from the dead? The miracles from this week's text could take your breath away! As much as miracles are amazing, there is something greater though. The only thing greater than a miracle is the one who is the miracle maker. What is greater than the gift? The giver.
It's easy to get lost in the amazing moments of what we are reading this week. Can you imagine being healed after 8 years of being bedridden or seeing a loved one brought back to life? These are amazing acts of God! However, there is more happening than one might realize. The miracles are pointing towards something much greater than worldly blessings.
The miracles in this week's text point to the greatness of God, power of Jesus, and the call to salvation! For those who are being blessed, the miracles bring them to a more intimate sense of worship. The text also shows us that the bystanders were so amazed, that they would experience the saving grace of Jesus!
We see that as great as miracles are, there are things that are greater happening; worldly circumstances are being turned upside down! God is bringing His children closer to Himself!
Last week we saw how God was creating dependence in the trenches, while this week He creates praise in the peaks! Don't miss it church! Keep your eyes open to all the blessings and let it drive you to salvation, praise and worship!
Stay faithful church.
